7/17/26 - 7/18/26: 100 grapes

I had Sour Patch Kids in the car so long they were on the verge of turning geriatric. There's nothing better than driving in a quiet car and finishing off a bag of these. Thinking about absolutely nothing and eating candy is bliss.

Types of shells:

1. Egg

2. Turtle

3. Sea

Some sunsets have an especially intense watercolor quality. Tonight's sky had this, but especially at the moment right before it got completely dark. The wispy blotches of dark clouds dampening the dimming sky were like a scene created by an intensely emo watercolor painter. Their dark night of the soul expressed through their brushes.

Is it weird to think that if you drink thyme tea everyday it'll give you more time? My silly brain is convinced it will. I've been drinking it everyday.

Sometimes when I eat a lot of a small fruit I like to count them out. Is it unhealthy to eat one hundred grapes? Now I know I can fit that many grapes in my checkerboard wheel-thrown bowl.

I love Saturdays that are more chill than a cucumber.

I miss going to clay classes and events. There's been so many recently I've wanted to go to. I've been forced to be more of a clay hermit recently. The rare moments lately I do get to go into the studio in the day when real, live clay-making people are there is absolutely magnificent.

Clay objects I made today: a plate and a diner-ish style cup with a handle.

Just like I got some kind of strange, deep satisfaction counting out one hundred grapes today, I'd love to have my booth at a show have one hundred cups, one hundred plates, and one hundred bowls, etc. It seems like a difficult yet manageable number of ceramics to make of each variety. Just the idea of them existing, and seeing them together like that in all their hand-painted glory, I find thrilling. I look forward to when this is a reality and I'm actually doing shows again.
