7/21/26: Cream cheese side down.

7/21/26

My grandest accomplishments for today: 

 

1. Dropped a bagel on the floor, cream cheese side down.

2. Listened to Amber by 311 for the trillionth time.

3. Transported my biggest bisqued vase without breaking it.

 

4. Stared at the half-moon for awhile and thought about pie.

 

5. Failed to adeptly manage my immense stress.

 

6. Pondered the store title Pottery and Beyond. What is the beyond? Is it the same beyond found at Bed, Bath, and Beyond? Beyond pottery isn't there just more pottery? Do they mean death? Is it a pottery store and funeral home all wrapped into one? Are ceramic caskets an option here? I don't think about caskets very often but if I were to go that route I'd want a Russian-nesting-doll style one, hand-carved and hand-painted. It would obviously be custom made. I'm the custom made casket type of gal. (Can't you tell?)

 

7. Finished a book I enjoyed tonight. 

 

8. Got my hands on a few Isaac Asimov and Stephen King books for free. Plus, The Godfather. I'll read them all concurrently I'm sure, and get half-way through each one, and then maybe finish them next year, of course. 'Tis my style. 

 

9. Listened to some transfixing ASMR videos of people smooshing smooshable items between their fingers. Squishy, and slightly bubbly and crunchy simultaneously.

10. Stared at some of my neck wrinkles and took a shower. Well, planned to but then got too tired and didn't...
